University Park, Pa. - The Robert Morris University women's indoor track & field team returned to action after the holiday season Saturday by taking part in the Penn State Relays on the campus of Penn State University.

Sophomore Marissa Polk (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Oakland Catholic) finished eighth in the mile, posting a time of 5:23.68. Junior Lindsay Erath (Aliquippa, Pa. / Hopewell) earned ninth place in the mile, crossing the finish line with a time of 5:23.99.

Polk also anchored RMU's 4x800-meter relay squad that finished fifth with a time of 10:05.56. Joining Polk on the squad was Erath, sophomore Alexis Ebersole (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona) and freshman Brittany Shay (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver Area).

In the sprints, senior Justene Delman (Bellaire, Ohio / Saint John's Central) posted a time of 8.11 in the 60-meter dash and a final tally of 26.60 in the 200-meter dash.

Robert Morris returns to action Saturday, Jan. 12, by taking part in the Doug Raymond Invitational on the campus of Kent State University.
