Earning the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nod for Dec. 16, 2015, is senior goaltender Terry Shafer of the ice hockey team. In a 6-0 victory over Canisius (12/13/15) at the RMU Island Sports Center, Shafer recorded his sixth career shutout, establishing a new program record. He finished with 34 saves against the Golden Griffins and thanks to the performance completed back-to-back shutouts. Shafer is just the second Robert Morris netminder in school history to accomplish the feat. On the 2015-16 campaign, Shafer owns a record of 5-3-1 and has posted a .924 save percentage to go along with a 2.52 goals against average.
