Named the Giant Eagle RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 9, 2016, is senior goaltender Jessica Dodds of the hockey team. In a 2-1 victory over Syracuse (11/5/16) at the RMU Island Sports Center, Dodds turned away 35 shots in helping keep the Colonials undefeated in College Hockey America (CHA) play. In improving to 3-0-3 on the year, Dodds helped Robert Morris improve its overall record to 7-1-4 (.750) and 3-0-1 in the conference. For her efforts, Dodds was selected as the CHA Goalie of the Week (11/7/16), the second honor of the 2016-17 campaign and 11th of her career. RMU’s all-time winningest goaltender, Dodds ranks 10th in the nation in save percentage (.944) and 12th in goals against average (1.60).Â
