Sophomore guard Jackson Last of the basketball team has been named the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 1, 2023. He shares the honor with teammate Kahliel Spear. In home victories over Detroit Mercy (1/27/23) and Oakland (1/29/23) last weekend at the UPMC Events Center, Last, a native of Hurricane, Utah, averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals while converting 53.3 percent (8-for-15) of his shots from the floor, including 5-for-10 from the arc. In the win over the Titans, Last scored 12 points, grabbed four rebounds and set a career high with four steals as the Colonials earned an 85-77 win. Overall during the 2022-23 season, Last is one of three student-athletes to start each of RMU’s 23 games and is providing averages of 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest. Â
