Part of a balanced scoring attack to help RMU open the 2023 campaign with a pair of victories, rookie defender Tim Koczulap of the men’s soccer team has been selected as the first Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2023-24 season. In a 5-0 victory over VMI (8/24) at the North Athletic Complex, Koczulap assisted on the first goal of the year by Gabe Norris to give the Colonials a 3-0 cushion. Three days later in a 1-1 draw with Niagara (8/27) at the NAC, Koczulap, a native of Berlin, Germany, fed a perfect cross to Nolan Hutter in the second half, who provided a header into the net to tie the contest, 1-1. Through two games of the season, six different Colonials have scored a goal while Koczulap owns a pair of helpers.
