Senior goalkeeper Kate Dunlap (Centerport, Pa. / Schuylkill Valley) stopped 5-of-6 shots she faced, while Elizabeth Thomas made one save on her way to picking up the shutout.
Fairfield out shot RMU, 12-4, and held the edge in penalty corners, 9-5.
The Colonials return to action Sunday, October 21 as they host Saint Francis (Pa.) at Joe Walton Stadium. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
