Moon Township, Pa. ? The Robert Morris University men's ice hockey team, under the direction of four-year head coach Derek Schooley, received a vote in the USCHO.com/CSTV Poll for the third time in the programs four-year history.

The Colonials received a vote in the poll during the 2004-05 season after defeating Canisius in Buffalo, N.Y. on October 16, 2004. RMU received a vote for the second time in team history last season in the poll released February 12 at the height of its five-game winning streak. The Colonials began the streak by defeating Princeton, before sweeping #16 Niagara and Bemidji State at the RMU Island Sports Center.

The Colonials will open the 2007-08 season with an exhibition game against Ryerson Sunday, October 7. The game will begin at 4:05 p.m. RMU will then travel to Anchorage, Alaska, for the Nye Frontier Classic, to open the regular season.
