Moon Township, Pa.-Sophomore Ayana Davis (Mt. Laurel, N.J. / Holy Cross), a forward on the Robert Morris University women's soccer team, was named to the Northeast Conference Women's Soccer All-Conference Second Team in her first year with the Colonials. This is the first appearance on the All-NEC squad for Davis and she is the first Colonial to earn all-conference honors since 2007.
Davis, who ran track and field in lieu of playing soccer as a freshman, led the team with nine goals this season. That mark represented the fifth-highest total in the conference and the fourth-highest single season mark at Robert Morris. The speedy attacker finished sixth in the conference with 18 points.
The sophomore was named the adidas / NEC Rookie of the Week three times this season, more than any other player in the conference. She had two two-goal games and led the team with five gamewinning goals.
Robert Morris tied the program records for wins and conference wins this season, posting an 8-9-1 overall record and 4-5-1 mark in conference play. The Colonials also set a record for shutouts, posting seven this season.
