Robert Morris University junior goalie Erica Webb (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck) captured her third NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor after leading RMU to a 1-1 week with a 19-6 victory over Central Connecticut State and a 12-11 double overtime loss to Quinnipiac.
In RMU's victory over Central Connecticut State on Thursday, April 9 Webb allowed just two goals in forty minutes played and tallied nine saves for a career-high save percentage of .818. On Saturday, she continued her impressive play against Quinnipiac by stopping 15 shots and allowing just12 goals in a double overtime loss, while also recording three ground balls. Over the course of the week, she compiled a save percentage of .632 and she now ranks second in the league and seventh in the nation with a save percentage of .528. In addition, she is ranked fifth in the nation in saves per game with 11.64 and is third in the NEC with a GAA of 10.59.
The Colonials head to Annapolis on Tuesday, April 14 to take on Navy at 4:00 p.m.
