Snæfell, Iceland-Former Robert Morris University women's basketball star Sade Logan (2007-09) joined the professional ranks, signing with Snæfell in the Iceland-Express League. The 2008 Northeast Conference Player of the Year is starting for the squad.
Logan has started all four games for her professional squad, and after a slow start, is starting to put up more impressive numbers. In the team's only victory, she accounted for 20 points and three blocks. Through four games, Logan is averaging 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.8 blocks.
In her first season as a Colonial in 2007-08, Logan tied the NCAA record for three-pointers in a season, knocking down 126 on the year. Her 24.7 points per game put her third in the nation while earning her NEC Player of the Year honors and All-NEC First Team accolades. In that season, she broke team records for points (815), average points per game (24.7), field goals (305), field goal attempts (686), three-pointers (126) and three-point attempts (300).
Logan rebounded from off-season shoulder surgery in the summer of 2008 to lead to the NEC in scoring again in 2008-09. The guard averaged 21.2 points a game, eighth in the nation and tops in the conference. Logan also led the nation in three pointers, knocking down 78 this season for an average 3.5 per game. As a junior, she tied the NCAA record for three-pointers with 126.
Logan scored double-digits in all 57 of her career games. Despite playing just a season and a half, the prolific scorer is sixth in the RMU annals in scoring at 1,314 points. She is second in career three-pointers with 205 and field goals made with 482.
