Sophomore Cobina Delaney (Stittsville, Ontario / Ottawa Senators) scored her fourth goal of the season for RMU while junior Brianna Delaney (Stittsville, Ontario / NCCP Raiders) provided a helper on her sister's goal, continuing an early-season trend. On each one of Cobina's goals this season, Brianna has supplied a helping hand by adding an assist on every occasion. Sophomore Kelsey Thomas (Hamilton, Ontario / Hamilton Hawks) added the second assist to collect at least a point in back-to-back games for the second time this season.

Though the final score may not show it, due in part to an empty-net Warrior tally as the third-period horn expired, the game was very even statistically as Wayne State held the slimmest of margins in shots, 23-22.

Robert Morris killed off two Warrior penalties in the first 11 minutes of action by blocking all six Warrior shot attempts over the four minutes of extra-man opportunities. The third time did prove to be the charm for Wayne State as Julie Hebert tallied a power-play goal at the 16:51 mark of the first to give Wayne State the lead.

The Warriors added a second tally just over two minutes into the second frame as Alyssa Baldin put home a wrist shot from the right circle. However, Robert Morris responded immediately by drawing back within one just 12 seconds later.

Following the ensuing faceoff, RMU gained control of the puck along the boards. After Cobina Delaney received a pass, she put a great fake on the Warrior goalie to put the Colonials on the board. Cobina Delaney feigned a shot from the right side, getting the goalie to commit, before using a wraparound move behind the cage that allowed her to beat the netminder.

After the flurry of early second-period scoring, neither team was able to find the net again over the last 17:45, and RMU went into the locker room trailing 2-1.

Robert Morris nearly tied the game early on in the third stanza when junior Paige Pietrangelo (Niagara Falls, Ontario / Hamilton Hawks) fired a slap shot from the left point that beat the Wayne State goaltender but clanged off the right post and away from the goal mouth.

Wayne State added an insurance goal at the 8:04 mark of the third period when Alyssa Baldin found the net. Despite nine third-period shots, RMU was unable to light the lamp and dropped the series finale to the Warriors.

The Colonials will have their hands full next weekend as they continue their six-game homestand by hosting No. 1 Wisconsin for a pair of games. RMU will meet the top-ranked Badgers at 3:05 p.m. on both Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20.
