Moon Township, Pa. - Senior men's golf team member C.G. Mercatoris (Brookville, Pa. / Brookville) captures NEC Golfer of the Week honors after snatching the individual tournament title that eluded him until now.

Last year, in his junior season, Mecatoris finished in the top-10 in each of the nine tournaments he competed in except for one. But Saturday, Mercatoris' consistency finally paid off. He bested everyone on the course, tasting his first individual victory at the Bucknell Men's Invitational with a three-round total of 211 - just one stroke over par. The senior finished three strokes ahead of the field with the second-most pars in the field (39) and the fourth-most birdies (7). His outings were never worse than one-over for a round, opening and closing the event with rounds of 71 while sandwiching a 69 in the middle at the par-70 layout at the Bucknell University Golf Course.
