Moon Township, Pa. - Head coach Sal Buscaglia and the Robert Morris University women's basketball team added five players to its roster for the upcoming season. Four of those players have junior college experience while true freshman and native of France Romane Dessacs adds to an international roster that already has players from England, Latvia and Greece.
- Josette Campbell
- Jr., 6-1, G
- London, England / Notre Dame Prep (Northwest Florida State)
One of the top prospects available out of junior college, Campbell was ranked as the No. 7 junior college prospect in the nation by girlsbasketballreport.com. Initially signed and was released from South Florida in the spring of 2010, Campbell most recently played for Northwest Florida State College in 2009-10. A 6'1" guard, she was named to the All-Panhandle Conference First Team after averaging 12.3 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game. The Raiders finished 17-8 behind 40 percent shooting, 1.7 steals and 1.6 assists from Campbell.
As a freshman at NWFS in 2008-09, Campbell averaged 14.3 points per game and 7.0 rebounds a contest while shooting 42 percent from the floor. She played her high school ball for Mike Teasley at Notre Dame Prep in Virginia.
- Briannica Tye

- Aurora, Ill. / West Aurora (Mineral Area)
After playing the 2009-10 season at IUPUI, Tye spent the 2010-11 school year as a member of the basketball team at Mineral Area College where she earned NJCAA All-America honorable mention honors. An all-region and all-conference selection as well, the 5'3" point guard averaged 13.3 points per game while dishing out 5.6 assists per game, 11th most in the country. She added two steals per game and managed to connect at 39.0 percent from the field.
During her freshman season at IUPUI, Tye was third on the Jaguars squad averaging 8.1 points a game. She started 16 contests, shooting 36.4 percent from the floor, led the team in steals and was second on the squad in assists.
During a stellar high school career at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Ill., Tye led her team to the Illinois Class 3A Region Finals as a senior. She had a career-high 24 points and 10 steals in the Blackhawks' regional semifinal win. The all-time assists leader at West Aurora with 463, Tye set the single season record with 187 and earned a spot in the Illinois Premier Basketball Showcase following her senior year.
- Rocio Medrano

- Greenville, Texas / Greenville (Eastern Oklahoma State)
Medrano comes to campus via Eastern Oklahoma State College where she was a two-year starter. As a sophomore she averaged 13.7 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per contest while picking up 13 double-doubles in 25 games. She shot 42 percent from the floor and 38 percent (30-79) on three-pointers.
While playing at Greenville High School, Medrano was her team's most valuable player as both a junior and a senior while averaging 18.2 points per game and 8.7 rebounds for her career.

- Péchabou, France / Toulouse Métropole Basket
The Colonials add to their international roster with the arrival of Dessacs who hails from Péchabou, France, where she played in the French Women's First Division last season. Her squad, Toulouse Métropole Basket (TMB), won the first phase of the French First Division Championship spurred on by the play of the 5'4" guard. She was named an all-star and the second best player overall at a tournament in London. Prior to last season, she helped TMB to the Cadet First Division championship while training with the Division I team.

- Bronx, N.Y. / Murry Bergtraum (Monroe College)
Williams brings championship experience to Robert Morris having helped Monroe College to the NJCAA Division II national championship last season. An integral part of that team, the 5'6" guard showed off an all-around game by averaging 12.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.7 steals per game. She connected at 46 percent from the floor while connecting on 39 percent (64-166) of her three-point attempts. As a freshman in 2009-10, Williams was her team's most valuable player helping the Mustangs to a conference title while averaging 12.7 points per game.
