Savannah, Ga. / The Club at Savannah Harbor - The Robert
Morris University women's golf team found six strokes in the second round of
the Lonnie Barton Invitational to finish in fifth-place at the spring
season-opening event. RMU totaled 682 strokes over two days and 36 holes.
Senior Elizabeth Wenger (Toledo, Ohio / Whitmer) and
sophomore Alee Everman (Dayton, Ohio / Centerville) tied for 14th with
two-round scores totaling 169 strokes. Wenger opened with an 86 and finished
with an 83 while Everman carded rounds of 82 and 87.
Junior Tess Wolfe (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk) tied
for 19th after shooting 87 in each round. Junior Jenna Rinker (Slippery Rock,
Pa. / Slippery Rock (Clarion)) cut 12 strokes from her opening round 95 to
shoot 83 and finish tied for 32nd. Sophomore Annie Bozich (Aliquippa, Pa. /
Center) rounded out the team scores with a 182 following two rounds of 91.
Competing as individuals, freshmen Sarah Weber (Hudson,
Ohio / Hudson) and Tori Zachman (Hampstead, Md. / North Carroll) finished 24th
and 29th. Weber had scores of 88 and 86 while Zachman came home with an 83
after an talking 94 strokes in her opening round.
