Lewisburg, Pa. / Bucknell University G.C. - The Robert
Morris University women's golf team opened its 2012-13 season by finishing
ninth at the 15-team Bucknell Women's Invitational. The event was played at the
Bucknell University Golf Club, a 5,981-yard layout that plays to a par of 70 in
Lewisburg, Pa.
Jenna Rinker led the Robert Morris contingent managing
rounds of 79 and 80 despite rainy weather during Saturday's 36-holes. She came
home with an 82 Sunday to finish with a 241 and tie of 28th overall.
Freshman Halley Morell was next among the RMU finishers. Her
first round of 78 was the lowest score of the 54-hole event. She rounded out
the tournament by carding an 82 in the each of the final two rounds. She tied
for 31st with a 242.
Tess Wolfe recovered from an opening round 87 to shoot 79
and 81 en route to a 45th place finish with a 247 total. Alee Everman shot 82-79=88=249 to tie for 51st while rookie Gianna Pro
came in with a 250 on rounds of 82-81-87 putting her in 55th.
