Preview
The Robert Morris University field hockey team will travel to Radford, Va. after winning two contests at home this past weekend.  The Radford Highlanders will host the Colonials on Oct. 6 at Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium at 1 p.m.

History vs. Radford
RMU is 1-5 against the Highlanders.  The last meeting between the teams was in Moon Township last season when the Colonials won, 2-0.

In Case You Missed It
Over the weekend, RMU swept their homestand against the Towson Tigers and the Ohio Bobcats.  Sophomore Jess Martin-Brown (Mount Gambrier, Australia / University of Adelaide) and junior Taleah Scott (Crookwell, Australia / Crookwell) tallied the first two goals, and freshman Chloe McIlwaine (Belfast, Ireland / Northumbria University) registered the final two goals in a 4-0 victory over Towson.  The Colonials then defeated the Ohio Bobcats on Sunday, 5-2.  McIlwaine registered two goals for the second straight game, while junior Julianne Alspaugh (Carlisle, Pa / Cumberland Valley), Martin-Brown, and junior Jamie Hartley (Tamworth, Australia / University of Newcastle) all found the back of the net as well.

Quick Hitters
  • RMU is one win away from tying a single-season school record for most wins. The current record was set in 2011.
  • Julianne Alspaugh's goal in the win on Sunday against Ohio was the first of her career.
  • Over the weekend, junior Erin McKenzie (Lismore, Australia / University of Queensland Tech) registered her fifth shutout of the season in the victory over the Tigers.
  • Martin-Brown has scored five goals in the last four games.

Coming Up
