Moon Township, Pa. - The Robert Morris University men's tennis team continued its 2013 spring campaign this weekend with a trio of matches in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Colonials opened their swing with a pair of neutral site matches Friday, falling to Chicago State, 6-1, before suffering a 7-0 setback to Youngstown State.
Saturday morning RMU concluded its trip with a 7-0 loss at IPFW.
On the 2012-13 campaign, Robert Morris owns a record of 2-7 in dual matches.
Against the Cougars, senior Tarun Kishan (Mississauga, Ontario / Saint Francis Xavier Secondary) picked up the lone victory for the Colonials, posting a 7-6, 7-6 victory over Jean Paul Jones at the No. 4 singles flight.
In doubles play against Chicago State, senior Andre Coiro (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) teamed up with freshman Juan Andre Hirmas (Padre Las Casas, Chile) to earn an 8-7 win over Rashley Yeremia and Luis Olloa at the No. 3 flight.
RMU returns to action Saturday, March 2, with its first home match of the 2013 campaign. The Colonials will welcome Morgan State for a Noon tilt.
