Moon Township, Pa. - Robert Morris University
women's soccer head coach John Kowalski didn't have to go far to find an
all-state forward to help deepen his Colonials roster. Antonia Grese (Moon
Township, Pa. / Moon) played her high school soccer at Moon Area High School
located less than a mile from the entrance to RMU's Moon Township campus.
Grese led Moon to its first state championship last fall,
scoring the game-winning goal as the Tigers upended Archbishop Wood, 1-0, in
the PIAA Class AA title. That helped Grese to her second consecutive all-state selection.
A three-time all-section pick, Grese was named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette All-Area Team and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review All-Star as a senior. She helped Moon to
24-2-0 record and a #10 national ranking by MaxPreps.com.
Grese, a forward, ended the season with 29 goals and 37 assists, pushing
her career totals to 76 goals and 75 assists.
