RMU Earns GCAA Team Academic Award

Colonials accumulate a 3.05 grade point average in 2012-13.

Junior Ryan Prokay and freshman Dan Maier had the top grade point averages for the men's golf team in 2012-13.

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's golf team earned the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Team Award presented by Farmers Insurance. The Colonials were one of 143 college or university teams in the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA to earn the distinction from the national association.
 
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors, a college or university team must carry a 3.0 team grade point average that includes all golfers on its official squad list for the academic year.
 
Robert Morris garnered a 3.05 grade point average as a team in 2012-13 and was the only member of the Northeast Conference to receive the prestigious national honor. A total of 11 players were on the RMU squad list during the academic year. Junior Ryan Prokay (Grove City, Ohio / Grove City) and freshman Dan Maier (Irwin, Pa. / Penn-Trafford) led the team as both had 3.70 grade point averages for the 2012-13 school year.
