Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University men's cross country squad opened its 2013 season Saturday by taking part in the Duquesne Duals in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Posting the top time for RMU was senior Fred Thompson (Turtle Creek, Pa. / Woodland Hills), who earned 47th by posting a time of 29:32.2
Thompson led four Colonials to place within five spots of one another. Finishing right behind Thompson in 48th was freshman Marshall Bruce (Beaver, Pa. / Beaver Area), who crossed the finish line with a time of 29:35.1.
Two spots later in 50th was senior Michael Molchany (Ephrata, Pa. / Ephrata), who finished at 29:47.1, while senior Dorian Rumble (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Penn Hills) earned 51st thanks to a time of 29:55.5.
Robert Morris returns to action Saturday, Sept. 14, with the Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C.
