Becky Schoenecker was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Schoenecker made 13 saves in her Senior Day start Sunday against Saint Francis U anchoring the Colonials to a scoreless draw against the Red Flash. It was her fourth clean sheet of the season. Schoenecker was busy early, making five saves in the opening 45 minutes. The senior followed with four in the second half and then turned away four more shots in the two overtime periods.
Schoenecker owns the RMU career records for goals against average (1.22) and save percentage (.830). Her .861 save percentage this season is an RMU record as well.
The Colonials are currently in fifth place in the NEC standings with eight points, one spot out of a playoff position. Robert Morris returns to the pitch Friday, Oct. 31, when it travels to Sacred Heart for a 5:00 p.m. game.
