Santiago Mejia finished with an even par 144 to finish in a tie for first before settling for second place following a playoff.
Mejia opened the event with one-under par 71 before carding a 73 in round two. His 144 total of eve-par marks just the fourth time in team history that a player has completed an event at even par or better. Mejia finished with eight birdies, tied for most in the field, while playing the par-five holes at two-under par.
Matt Gurska and
Dan Maier both shot 74 in the second round. For Maier, who's two-day total of 156 put him in a tie for 15th, the two-over par round marked a career-best. Gurska meanwhile, wraped up a fifth-place showing with a 159 total following an opening round of 75.Â
Garrett Browning took eighth, coming home in 80 strokes after carding a 73 in the first round.
Dean Hitt tied for ninth with rounds of 79 and 75 that gave hime a 154 total.Â
Fairleigh Dickinson took second place (608) followed by Bryant (624), Saint Francis U (628), Sacred Heart (632), LIU Brooklyn (640), Wagner (649), Siena (655), Division III St. Lawrence (659) and St. Francis Brooklyn (680).
