Moon Township, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University softball team will hold a fundraiser in conjunction with its doubleheader scheduled for this Thursday, April 24, at the North Athletic Complex.
RMU will be raising awareness and money for the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE). The Colonials will raise money through a variety of initiatives as part of the event, including selling concessions, holding a 50/50 drawing and selling raffle tickets. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 3:00 p.m.
Senior
Cassie Show (Connellsville, Pa. / Connellsville) is leading the effort of hosting the event. She chose this cause to honor two of her friends who passed away at a young age, but they helped save others' lives by being organ donors.
CORE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting donation, education and research for the purpose of saving and improving lives through organ, tissue and cornea transplantation.
