Moon Township, Pa. – A total of 24 student-athletes from the Robert Morris University rowing team were named to the 2015 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the conference Wednesday.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale, and freshmen are eligible for the honor roll. A total of 2,080 student-athletes were honored by the MAAC, covering 25 sports and including both full-time and associate members.
The Colonials are an associate member of the conference in rowing, and RMU tied for second among associate members of the MAAC with the University of Detroit Mercy with 24 student-athletes honored.
A pair of student-athletes from Robert Morris, sophomore Paige Oster and freshman Lindsay Feltz, have posted a perfect 4.00 GPA. Oster is a nursing major, while Feltz studies computer information systems.
Sophomore Taylor Andree, meanwhile, owns a 3.97 GPA as a biology major, while senior Laura Mooradian, a four-year coxswain, graduated with a double major in accounting and sport management with a 3.96 GPA.
