The Capsule
Robert Morris completes its non-conference slate on Sunday, Dec. 18 when it travels to Baltimore to take on Morgan State. The Colonials have played all but three of their 11 non-league games away from the Charles L. Sewall Center and open up the Northeast Conference (NEC) portion of their schedule on the road as well, starting on Thursday, Dec. 29 at Sacred Heart.

The Series vs. Morgan State
The Colonials and Bears' inaugural meeting came last year in Moon Township, with Robert Morris routing Morgan State, 76-44. The hosts outscored the Bears in three of the four quarters – including a 30-11 advantage in the second frame – and shot 50 percent (29-58) from the field. RMU also grabbed 44 rebounds to MSU's 28 and scored 30 points in the paint, 20 on second chance plays, and 17 off turnovers.

Scouting the Bears
Morgan State is 2-6 on the 2016-17 season, picking up a 69-61 victory at UMBC in its most recent game on Wednesday, Dec. 7. The Bears, whose only other win came against NAIA institution Washington Adventist, are led by junior guard Braennan Farrar and her 15.5 point-per-game average. Farrar is also the team's leader in assists (29) and steals (24). Third-year forward Tykyrah Williams paces MSU in rebounds at 5.5 per contest and is its second-leading scorer at 9.9 points per game.

Know Your Enemy
It was a balanced effort for Robert Morris against Morgan State last season as six players scored at least eight points and 11 got on the scoresheet overall. Anna Niki Stamolamprou would post one of her three double-doubles of 2015-16 on that day, tallying 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting while pulling down 11 rebounds. Mikalah Mulrain added 10 points and a pair of blocks in 19 minutes, while Janee Brown and Rebeca Navarro scored nine and eight points, respectively.

Last Time Out
Robert Morris again kept it close at Iowa for the majority of the first half, but a late run by the Hawkeyes to close the second quarter lifted the hosts over the Colonials, 81-60. Anna Niki Stamolamprou scored a game-high 16 points in the loss, finishing her career with 50 points in three games against RMU's familiar Big Ten foe.

No Problem for Nadège
Nadège Pluviose doubled her career-high in scoring at Iowa on Friday, Dec. 9, pouring in 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 15 minutes off the bench. Pluviose, who is averaging 11.9 minutes per game in her freshman campaign, has been efficient with her offensive looks, shooting 48 percent (12-25) from the floor while sinking 78.6 percent (11-14) of her attempts from the stripe.

Boarding Pass
Senior guard Anna Niki Stamolamprou is on the cusp of gaining entrance into the exclusive 500 rebound club at RMU, needing just one more carom to become its 20th member. If she achieves that feat, she will also become just the third player in program history to tally 500 rebounds and 300 assists, joining Artemis Spanou (1563r, 370a) and Angela Pace (508r, 303a).

The Floor General
Senior guard Janee Brown has had a strong start to her final season in a Colonial uniform, owning a 1.89 assist-to-turnover ratio through the first 10 games. Brown (36a, 19t) currently leads the Northeast Conference, which hasn't been done since 2009-10 when Angela Pace topped the league with a 2.36 mark. Additionally, the fourth-year point needs one more assist to reach 200 for her career.

Musket Shots
In the Colonials' four victories this season, they have held a lead going into the fourth quarter … RMU's opponents have compiled a record of 59-36 (.621) thus far … On Dec. 5, Anna Niki Stamolamprou claimed NEC Player of the Week and Nneka Ezeigbo was named Rookie of the Week, marking the first time that the Colonials have swept the league's weekly awards since Feb. 10, 2015 … RMU returns 74 percent of its scoring from 2015-16, including five of its six leading scorers
