The Capsule
Robert Morris completes a two-game home stand when it looks to move back to .500 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7:00 p.m. against LIU Brooklyn. The Colonials were defeated by St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday to fall to 1-2 in the league, while LIU Brooklyn was bested by Saint Francis U.

The Series vs. LIU Brooklyn
Robert Morris is 44-16 all-time against LIU Brooklyn and currently rides a 10-game winning streak. Six of the victories during that stretch have come at the Charles L. Sewall Center, including last season's 69-53 decision on Feb. 22. Rebeca Navarro came off the bench in that contest to drop a team-high 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond that arc.

Scouting the Blackbirds
LIU Brooklyn is 2-12 overall and 1-2 in the conference after picking up a 63-60 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Dec. 29 in its NEC opener. Senior guard Shanovia Dove leads the Blackbirds with 14.9 points per game and 24 steals, while freshman center Aja Boyd is averaging 10.1 points and a team-best 6.1 rebounds per contest. LIU has struggled defensively thus far, allowing its opponents to shoot 42.7 percent from the field - the league's highest mark.

Know Your Enemy
In seven games against LIU Brooklyn, Anna Niki Stamolamprou has averaged 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per contest. Stamolamprou is making 48.8 percent (42-86) of her field goals and 39.5 percent (15-38) of her three-point attempts versus the Blackbirds, with her best effort of 24 points on 11-of-17 shooting coming on Feb. 9, 2015 in a 77-58 win. Mikalah Mulrain posted one of her four career double-doubles on Jan. 11, 2016, tallying 10 points and 10 rebounds while adding four steals and two blocks, defensively.

Last Time Out
Robert Morris was topped in a defensive battle against St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, falling to the Terriers, 56-49. The Colonials held St. Francis Brooklyn to 29.8 percent shooting but could only manage to make 31.0 percent of their field goal attempts. Anna Niki Stamolamprou led RMU with 13 points, but shot just 5-of-22 from the field and 3-of-11 on three-point attempts.

Ring of Honor
Sugeiry Monsac, a 2007 alumnae of Robert Morris, became the first member of the women's basketball program to be inducted to RMU Ring of Honor at halftime of Saturday's game against St. Francis Brooklyn. Monsac claimed NEC Player of the Year accolades in 2005, helped lead the Colonials to their first NCAA Tournament berth in 2007, and was named to the RMU Hall of Fame in 2014.

From Downtown
In its victory at Fairleigh Dickinson, RMU established a new single-game record for three-point percentage (min. 10 3FGM) at 66.7 percent. The Colonials made 12-of-18 attempts from deep, led by Rebeca Navarro's 6-of-9 performance. Anna Niki Stamolamprou added three trifectas for RMU, who as a team paces the NEC from beyond the arc with a 36.2 percent conversion rate.

Mulrain? More Like No-Rain
In her first start since Nov. 16, Mikalah Mulrain provided the same defensive presence she has been known for during her time at Robert Morris. Mulrain blocked a trio of shots, moving her past Artemis Spanou and Elise James into second place all-time in program history with 115 rejections. She still has a climb to reach first place, however, as Anna Galite (2009-13) blocked 169 shots during her career to set the record.

Major Minutes
Senior guard Rebeca Navarro didn't start for the first time all season on Dec. 29 at Sacred Heart, but she still managed to play a team-high 38 minutes in the defeat. Navarro has been hard to pull off the floor for the Colonials in her last hurrah, currently sitting fourth in the NEC with an average of 32.64 minutes per contest. Her classmate, Anna Niki Stamolamprou, leads the league at 36.08 minutes per game.

The Floor General
Senior guard Janee Brown has had a strong start to her final season in a Colonial uniform, owning a 1.61 assist-to-turnover ratio through the first 14 games. Brown (50a, 31t) currently leads the Northeast Conference, which hasn't been done since 2009-10 when Angela Pace topped the league with a 2.36 mark.

Musket Shots
In the Colonials' six victories this season, they have held a lead going into the fourth quarter ...  The last two times Robert Morris has started 1-1 in league play have ended in an NEC Tournament title (2013-14) and a conference championship game appearance (2014-15)  ... RMU has held three of its opponents this season to under 30 percent shooting (Dec. 4 vs. Howard, Dec. 18 at Morgan State, Jan. 7 vs. St. Francis Brooklyn) ... Nneka Ezeigbo claimed her second NEC Rookie of the Week award on Dec. 19, becoming the fourth Colonial in the last five seasons to garner the plaudits more than once (Ashley Ravelli, Megan Smith, Anna Niki Stamolamprou) ... RMU returns 74 percent of its scoring from 2015-16, including five of its six leading scorers
