PITTSBURGH -- Senior goaltender
Elijah Milne-Price has brought a second consecutive weekly College Hockey America (CHA) honor to the
Robert Morris women's hockey team, as she was named the CHA Goalie of the Week Monday.
After riding shotgun to former all-conference netminderÂ
Jessica Dodds to begin her collegiate career, the Mississauga, Ontario native has taken full advantage of her increased workload, winning her first two starts of the 2017-18 season.
Milne-Price turned aside 15 quality shots and helped kill off all four power plays for a hard-earned 2-1 victory over host Maine last Friday, RMU's 11th all-time versus the Black Bears. The win also gave the Colonials an all-time .733 points percentage against Hockey East schools under two-time CHA Coach of the Year
Paul Colontino.
On Oct. 7 she out-dueled Katie Bidulka of Minnesota State with 23 saves for another 2-1 decision in her favor, that one coming in overtime of the Colonials' season-opener at Mankato.
Her 0.99 goals-against average and .950 save percentage through Sunday both top the early CHA leaderboard. Robert Morris is 8-for-8 on the penalty kill thus far when Milne-Price is in net.
The Colonials (3-1-0) continue non-conference play in Providence, R.I. at Brown, Friday at 6:00 p.m., with a subsequent 1:00 p.m. contest from Meehan Auditorium Saturday.
