The Capsule
Closing out the first month of the season with a 3-3 record, Robert Morris begins its December slate at home on Sunday, Dec. 3 against Monmouth. The Colonials have won three of their last four games and remain at the North Athletic Complex for all but one of their final five non-conference tilts.

NOTES: Monmouth @ Robert Morris (12.3.17)

The Opponent
Monmouth owns a 2-5 record this season with victories over Sacred Heart and North Florida. The Hawks are still searching for their first road victory of 2017-18, dropping contests at Clemson (54-57), Jacksonville (65-74), and Navy (49-73). Sophomore guard Kayla Shaw leads Monmouth offensively with 15.6 points per game while shooting 51.3%/43.5%/90.0% on field goals, three-pointers, and free throws, respectively. Senior guard Rhaiah Spooner-Knight is also averaging double-figures in scoring at 10.9, while chipping in 4.4 rebounds per contest. Despite being outscored by an average of nine points per game thus far, the Hawks had an advantage in the third quarter, outscoring their opponents, 107-88.

The Series
Overall: 23-36 | Home: 12-14 | Away: 9-22 | Neutral: 2-0 | Streak: L1
Last Game: Monmouth 69, Robert Morris 56 (11.13.16)

This will be the 60th meeting between Monmouth and Robert Morris in their histories. The Hawks are the fourth most common opponent for the Colonials, behind NEC foes Saint Francis U (81), Fairleigh Dickinson (64), and Wagner (62). Last season, Megan Smith tallied 13 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks in 32 minutes, but RMU fell at home to Monmouth, 69-56.

Last Time Out
Robert Morris routed Youngstown State, 84-52, on Wednesday in its second home contest of the season. The Colonials' 84 points were their most in a game under Charlie Buscaglia, headlined by a 17-0 run to close out the victory. RMU saw four players (Megan Callahan, Honoka Ikematsu, Jocelynne Jones, Mikalah Mulrain) reach double-figures scoring - led by Jones' 15 points - and converted an impressive 57.9 percent (33-57) of its field goal attempts.

Keeping It 100
With one more appearance in the starting lineup, senior forward Megan Smith will become just the fourth player in program history to make 100 career starts. Smith has started 99 of 100 contests over her four seasons, with a tilt against Duquesne on Dec. 14, 2014 being the lone outlier.

Taking It To 100
Senior forward Jocelynne Jones collected four steals in a victory over Youngstown State, eclipsing 100 career steals in the process. Jones is the 16th player in program history to reach the century mark.

You Score, We All Score
All nine players that played for RMU in its win over Youngstown State made the scoresheet, with their point totals ranging from six to 15. This happened four times last season, with the Colonials' record being 3-1 in those instances.

Colonials Can't Miss
RMU shot 57.9 percent from the field in its victory against Youngstown State, converting on 33 of its 57 field goal attempts. That mark is the fifth highest in program history for a single game, narrowly trailing last season's 58.2 percent effort on Jan. 14, 2017 at Wagner for fourth place.

The Streak Continues
Robert Morris extended its streak of consecutive games with at least one three-pointer made to 141, which dates back to Feb. 18, 2013. The team record in that department is 285 consecutive games during a stretch from Jan. 7, 2002 to March 8, 2011.

Milestone Watch
Megan Smith and Mikalah Mulrain are on pace to join some exclusive clubs this season. Smith is close to eclipsing 1,000 career points, while Mulrain is inching closer to 500 rebounds. Below is a look at how close they are to reaching these marks:

Smith: 928 points, 72 away from 1,000
Mulrain: 470 rebounds, 30 away from 500

Insurmountable Lead
Robert Morris has never lost a game in which it has held the lead at the end of the second half. The Colonials were 22-0 in such situations during the 2016-17 campaign and 3-0 this season. All-time, RMU is 576-0 when leading at the final whistle.
