Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University women's soccer team has announced its 2017 schedule, featuring a total of 19 regular-season matches and nine at the friendly confines of the North Athletic Complex.

The non-conference slate sees a first-time opponent enter the fold along with a pair of matchups that haven't been played since the late 1990s. Robert Morris hits the road for a couple of three-match road trips in September and October, while a quartet of two-game homestands serve as the team's longest stretches in Moon Township.

The Colonials open up the season on Friday, Aug. 18 at Ohio, hoping to build off their 1-0 overtime victory over the Bobcats from a season ago. RMU then hosts Milwaukee on Sunday, Aug. 20 in both its home debut and the inaugural meeting between the two teams.

The following weekend sees another road-home split, starting with a trip to Central Michigan on Friday, Aug. 25. Robert Morris closes the weekend out by welcoming UMBC to the North Athletic Complex on Sunday, Aug. 27, before the Colonials host a second home fixture with Niagara as the calendar turns to September.

Labor Day weekend sees RMU hit the road for a single match against Howard on Sunday, Sept. 3. The Colonials picked up a 2-0 victory over the Bison at the North Athletic Complex a season ago.

The first of three home weekends begins on Friday, Sept. 8 when the Colonials take on Canisius, a team they have defeated in six consecutive fixtures. On that Sunday, Sept. 10, RMU hosts Wright State in the teams' first meeting since 1996.

The Colonials then begin one of their two three-game road trips, starting with a match at Bowling Green on Friday, Sept. 15. RMU and the Falcons haven't played since the 1998 campaign, whereas the Colonials' following opponent on Sunday, Sept. 17 in Fort Wayne is more familiar, as the teams faced off just two seasons ago.

Robert Morris closes out the road swing on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Youngstown State. The fixture will be the 22nd consecutive meeting between the two teams, with the Colonials owning a 12-8-1 edge over the Penguins in the all-time series.

Northeast Conference (NEC) play begins nine days later on Friday, Sept. 29 when Bryant arrives in Moon Township. RMU will then host Sacred Heart on Sunday, Oct. 1 before traveling two hours east a week later to play Saint Francis U.

The Colonials continue their final three-game road trip on Friday, Oct. 13 at LIU Brooklyn and Sunday, Oct. 15 at Central Connecticut. RMU then will host Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, Oct. 20 and Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, Oct. 22 for Senior Day, before closing the regular season with a road fixture at Wagner on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Last season, Robert Morris finished the conference slate with a 4-4 mark, narrowly missing out on its second consecutive NEC Tournament trip.
