Robert Morris to Conduct Girls Individual Camps and High School Team Camps

The Robert Morris women’s basketball program will host three individual girls’ basketball camp sessions and two high school basketball camp sessions in June and August

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University women's basketball program has announced its summer camp schedule, which features three different individual camp sessions and two high school team camps for both junior varsity and varsity teams.

Robert Morris will hold its first individual (All Individual Skills Camp) from Tuesday, June 13 to Friday, June 16. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on those days, participants will be taught individual and team skills and will be grouped according to age and playing experience. There will be specialized position and skill stations and team competitions, along with games, contests, and awards. Written evaluations will be provided as well.

The Colonials' second individual camp is its Individual Shooting and Offensive Skills Camp. It will be held on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will feature both written and video tape evaluation. The third individual camp, the Individual All Skills Mini Camp, will be held on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6 from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and stresses individual skills for all positions.

There will be two different sessions for the High School Team Camp: the first on Saturday, June 17 to Sunday, June 18, and the second on Saturday, August 5 to Sunday, August 6. There is no minimum or maximum amount of players per team, but the minimum charge will be for 10 players. Each team will play at least five games over the weekend with certified officials.

The prices for the camps are as follows:

  • Individual Week Camp (June 13-16): $200
  • Shooting & Offensive Skills Camp (June 17-18): $90
  • Individual Mini Camp (August 5-6): $90
  • Team Camp Session I (June 17-18): $55 per player + $18 per player/coach for on-campus housing)
  • Team Camp Session II (August 5-6): $55 per player

All three individual camps are only commuter camps. The first team camp (June 17-18) offers on-campus housing, while the second team camp (August 5-6) offers special rates at select hotels.

Members of the RMU coaching staff and players will both assist and coordinate with the camps.

Robert Morris is coming off its third Northeast Conference (NEC) championship in four seasons and seventh overall during the 2016-17 campaign. The Colonials finished the season with a 22-11 overall record – its 10th 20-win season in program history – and fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.
