Pittsburgh, Pa. – One year ago,
Robert Morris University announced a
multi-year partnership with Under Armour, the global leader in performance footwear, apparel, and equipment, as the exclusive outfitter and supplier for the university's 16 NCAA Division I athletics programs.
The men's hockey program is excited to unveil its new uniforms, as the Colonials will wear Under Armour for the 2017-18 season.
"Our partnership with Under Armour demonstrates the reputation for excellence the Colonials have earned in competition as well as in the classroom," said RMU President
Chris Howard. "Robert Morris is grateful to Under Armour and we proudly welcome them to the Colonial Nation."
The Colonials maintain the diagonal "RMU" across the front of both the white home and blue away sweaters. Subtle changes were made to the uniform striping, with three bands of alternating colors on both the jerseys and the socks. A Colonial head logo and a red stripe with white detail have both been added to the blue pants.
Robert Morris' red alternate sweater remains unchanged from previous years and will continue to be part of the Colonials uniform rotation.
Additionally, the Atlantic Hockey conference is celebrating its 15
th Anniversary season and a commemorative patch will be displayed on the front right side of the jersey, along with a helmet decal, throughout the season.

Preseason Coaches Poll. The Colonials will play en exhibition contest against the University of Ottawa on Saturday, September 30 at 7:05pm at Colonials Arena at the RMU Island Sports Center, before opening the regular season on October 6 at Niagara University.
