Davis Claims NEC Women's Lacrosse Honors

Moon Township, Pa. – Senior midfielder Dana Davis of the Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team was named the 2018 Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Tuesday.

It marks the second honor for Davis in over a week, as she was named the 2018 NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year across all sports June 5, 2018.

A native of Garnet Valley, Pa., Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.92. In 2018, Davis started all 18 games, finishing with 20 goals and five assists for 25 points while also recording 30 grounds balls, 50 draw controls and 20 caused turnovers.

Over her four-year career at RMU, Davis played in 68 career games, compiling totals of 102 goals and 31 assists for 133 points while also recording 184 ground balls, 145 draw controls and 98 caused turnovers. She concluded her career as the program's all-time leader in ground balls and ranks second in caused turnovers and third in draw controls. Offensively, Davis ranks sixth in both goals and points.

Named to the 2015 All-NEC Rookie Team, Davis earned All-NEC Second Team accolades in 2016 and was a first team honoree in both 2017 and 2018. A four-time member of the NEC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll, which honors student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher, Davis concluded her collegiate career as one of 44 NCAA Division I players to compete in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game. She will also compete with the USA Athletes International (USAAI) Lacrosse Team in Australia this summer.
