MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- For the second straight week, the Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team collected two of the Northeastern Conference's three individual weekly honors.

Juniors Mackenzie Gandy and Clio Kerr each cashed in after standout performances in the third week of the regular season, earning Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively. Gandy was so honored for the second time in two weeks, while Kerr hit the honor roll for the first time this season.

Gandy recorded hat tricks in both of RMU's games last week, adding four total assists along the way as the Colonials went 1-1. She also nabbed six total ground balls and set a season high with 10 shots in Saturday's win at Bucknell. Gandy leads the Colonials in goals (10), assists (eight), points (18) and shots (23) through four games.

Kerr, who leads the team in caused turnovers (10) and ranks second in ground balls (11), forced six total turnovers on the week, including four at Bucknell. She tied a season high with five ground balls vs. Liberty last Wednesday. Kerr also paces RMU with 22 draw controls and has scored a goal in each game of 2019.

Coming off a comeback win at Bucknell, Robert Morris (3-1) will aim for more success this week when they host city rival Duquesne on Wednesday and travel to D.C. to face George Washington on Saturday. Both games are set to start at 1 p.m., with Wednesday's game free to attend.
