MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The Robert Morris University women's lacrosse coaching staff and select players are prepared to welcome young players to campus in two separate events at the end of June.

The first of those will be a four-day Youth Camp from June 24-27, for those seeking to learn and improve in all the fundamental aspects of the game. Each day at camp will focus on both the smaller details of lacrosse as well as game situation and play. Stickwork, cradling, footwork, dodging, one-on-one defense and attack, small-sided games and full-field play will all be covered. Individualized goalie coaching will also be available.

The camp is open to players from first grade up to ninth grade, based on the grade the player will be entering in the fall. Players will be grouped by skill level and age into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Visit MidMajorLax.com for more information about the camp, including how to register; there are half- and full-day options for prospective campers. Campers will be instructed by RMU's Division I coaching staff and players, with an 8-to-1 camper-to-staff ratio. Activities will take place on our field turf facilities at Joe Walton Stadium, with prizes given out and fun activities mixed into the experience.

Also, on Wednesday, June 28, RMU will host a Prospect Day, which allows aspiring Division I lacrosse players to explore all the opportunities this university has to offer via a day on campus. Prospect Day is open to all athletes entering ninth through 12th grades.

Included in the experience will be a campus tour, an informational session with admissions and a question-answer session with coaches and current RMU players. After that, prospects will grab lunch at Colonial Café, then complete their day with a clinic conducted by the RMU staff. Again, visit MidMajorLax.com for more details on how to take part.

RMU just completed its 15th Division I season with a program-record 12 wins and a sixth consecutive trip to the Northeast Conference tournament. The Colonials are 20-6 in the NEC over the past four seasons.
