Men’s Golf Adds Three for 2020-21 Campaign

Skyler Fox, Deven Stewart, and Xavier Schwarz will join the Robert Morris men’s golf roster in 2020-21

Moon Township, Pa.Robert Morris University men's golf head coach Jerry Stone has announced the addition of three newcomers to the team's 2020-21 roster.

Skyler Fox (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Riverside), Deven Stewart (Freeport, Ill. / Freeport), and Xavier Schwarz (Virginia Water, England / ACS Egham International School) will join Robert Morris as freshmen ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Fox is a three-time WPIAL champion and the 2019 PIAA AA state medalist in boys golf. He closed his high school career at Riverside with a two-over 144 to win the state title, after finishing second as a freshman, tied for fifth as a sophomore, and fourth as a junior. Fox won three consecutive WPIAL crowns in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and placed second as a senior before his state triumph. He plans to major in business.

Stewart was a three-time All-Conference and Max Preps All-Star selection at Freeport. He captured the regional championship in 2019 and qualified for state twice, and also was named Best of Rock Valley during his high school career. A multi-sport athlete in golf, basketball, and baseball at Freeport, Stewart's cousin, Christie Stewart, played golf at Northern Illinois, and his sister, Montanna, plays soccer at Heartland Community College.

Schwarz arrives from across the pond after a strong prep career at Wentworth. He won two International Schools Sports Association (ISSA) individual championships and helped lead Wentworth to a pair of team titles in 2016 and 2017. Schwarz, who posted a stroke average of 74, also captured the Murray Mitchell Trophy at the St. Andrews Boys' Open and was the Men's Scratch Match Play Champion in 2019. A multi-sport athlete that also competed in basketball and tennis, he plans to major in marketing.

Robert Morris extended its streak to 11 consecutive seasons with at least one tournament win in 2019-20 after a triumph at the Towson Fall Invitational. The Colonials have won 23 competitions under Stone and a pair of Northeast Conference (NEC) championships in 2015 and 2019.
