PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Senior midfielder Brittany O'Connell of the Robert Morris University women's soccer team was named to the 2021 Horizon League All-Academic Team, the conference announced today.  

The recent graduate becomes the first Colonial to earn All-Academic honors from the Horizon League following the RMU's inaugural season as members in 2021.

O'Connell graduates from RMU leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication both in the classroom and on the field.  A 4.0 student in actuarial sciences, O'Connell was one of five RMU student-athletes named to the 2021 Horizon League Academic Honor Roll earlier this season after posting a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA in the fall.  

On the field, she was a constant presence in the midfield during her four years at Robert Morris, appearing in 57 games and making 44 starts for RMU.

The Pittsburgh native racked up five goals and 14 points in her Colonials career and tied for second on the team in points as a junior with four.
