Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU rowing team unveiled its 2022 spring schedule Wednesday, which includes a pair of home competitions from the Midge McPhail Boathouse at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island.
The Colonials open their spring season Sunday, Marcy 27, in Fairfax, Va., at the Occoquan Sprints. RMU will also travel to Philadelphia, Pa., Saturday, April 16, for the Kerr Cup before the first of two home competitions.

The Colonials welcome West Virginia to the McPhail Boathouse Saturday, April 30, and will also host Duquesne as part of Senior Day festivities Sunday, May 8, in their final competition of the 2021-22 regular season. The day after hosting the Mountaineers, the Colonials head to Buffalo, N.Y., to take part in the Black Rock Cup.
The 2022 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships are set for Sunday, May 15, in Pennsauken Township, N.J., at Cooper River Park.
Led by second-year head coach
Carol Schoenecker, the Colonials are coming off a fall season in which they competed in the
largest regatta in school history, the Head of the Fish, while the
Open 4+ earned gold at the Head of the Ohio. That squad featured sophomore
Sebastiana Lopez as the coxswain in a boat that also featured seniors
Mary Woods and
Marissa Beck, junior
Christina Brunette and senior
Madyson Orlando.
