Moon Township, Pa. – According to a poll of Horizon League head coaches, the RMU track & field team has been picked to finish sixth during the 2022 outdoor season. The Colonials compiled 60 points.
Tabbed as the favorite is Youngstown State, which earned eight first-place votes and tallied 107 points. Milwaukee, which earned the other first-place vote, has been picked to finish second and notched 98 points. Rounding out the top five is Oakland (92), Purdue Fort Wayne (80) and Northern Kentucky (67). Following the Colonials and rounding out the poll is UIC (55), Wright State (45), IUPUI (38), Detroit Mercy (32) and Cleveland State (19).
The Colonials are led by head coach
Bryan Delsite, who is in his second season leading RMU. At the 2021 Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the Colonials finished fifth with 57.5 points. Fifth-year RMU student-athletes

Keturah Hunter each claimed individual crowns last year, with Katende
winning the discus and Hunter
earning gold in the hammer throw.
The 2022 Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships are slated for May 6-8, 2022, in Rochester, Mich., and will be hosted by Oakland.
RMU opens its outdoor season with a pair of competitions. The Colonials will send student-athletes to both the Raleigh Relays (March 25-26) and the Carnegie Mellon Invitational (March 26).
