Chase Gilley earned himself #HLMSOC Offensive Player of the Week announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Gilley recorded two assists and helped the Colonials tally their first win of the season, with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Northern Kentucky in their Horizon League opener. At the 58:22-mark, Gilley delivered a cross into the box setting up teammate
Hugo Kadima to tie the match, 1-1. In the 78', the junior forward registered his second assist of the contest as he was part of the sequence that set up
Kelvin Ramirez for the game-winning goal.
A native of North Carolina, Gilley paces Robert Morris with two assists this season, while starting in all four matches. He is also the first Colonial to receive the award this season.
RMU continues Horizon League action by traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday, September 17, for a 4:00 p.m. tilt against Milwaukee at Engelmann Stadium.
