The All-Time Series (IUPUI) – The Colonials on Saturday will be looking for the first win in program history against the Jaguars. IUPUI is 5-0 overall against RMU. The first time these two teams met was on New Year's Day back in 2021. Under head coach Charlie Buscaglia, the Colonials have hosted the Jaguars three times and have played in Indiana twice. Back in February of 2022, in a loss at IUPUI, Amalia and Vuletich posted eight points each. Vuletich grabbed seven boards and Amalia snagged five along with two assists.

Scouting the Jaguars – IUPUI is coming off a loss at Cleveland State (1/8) losing 92-59. Before then, the team was riding a four-game heater, beating NIU, Northern Kentucky, Wright State and Purdue Fort Wayne. Overall, IUPUI is 8-7 and 4-2 in Horizon League action. Under a completely new coaching staff led by head coach Kate Bruce, the team has provided depth in the 2022-23 season. They feature three players in the top eight in scoring: Jazmyn Turner (14.5), Destiny Perkins (13.4) and Rachel Kent (11.9). Perkins leads their squad in assists and steals with 55 and 18. Leading the team in rebounds with 90 and three-point baskets is Rachel Kent. She's shooting (.417) from behind the arc.

STEAL CITY
The Colonials boast three players in the top six in steals per game across the Horizon League. Mastral is ranked third averaging 1.7 steals per game. Amalia and Rebecca Dwomoh are both tied for sixth (1.4). Amalia's six steals vs. Canisius (11/26) remain the most in a game this season in the Horizon. Gedeon and Mastral are right behind her as they both put up five in a game. Gedeon did so vs. Waynesburg (11/12), and Mastral achieved this recently at Detroit Mercy (1/7).

SIX GOING ON SEVEN
Sophomore forward Phoenix Gedeon has posted the third most double-doubles in the conference this season with six. In the last six games, the Canadian has produced a double-double in four of them. All but two games this year she's scored in double figures. Ranked fourth in rebounds (8.2), Gedeon is the youngest player in the conference that's in the top five in boards per game. Currently, Gedeon is seventh in points per game (13.3). Across all of Division 1 women's basketball, Gedeon is tied ninth in double-doubles.
