Moon Township, Pa. – Due to inclement weather in the region as well as in the extended forecast, the RMU softball team has changed the schedule for its three-game series with Detroit Mercy at the North Athletic Complex to open the home portion of its 2023 slate.
The Colonials and Titans will now begin Horizon League play with a doubleheader Thursday, March 16, with a 2:00 p.m. first pitch. The single game between the two programs is slated for Friday, March 17, at Noon.
Led by head coach
Jexx Varner, who is in his fifth season at the helm of the Colonials, RMU owns a three-game winning streak after posting a 3-1 (.750) mark at the Tennessee Tech Tournament. Overall the Colonials are 8-10 (.444) during the 2023 season.
