Opening Face-Off
- The RMU men's lacrosse team continues conference play down south against Queens University on Saturday, April 15th at 11:00 a.m.
- Last time out, the Colonials got back in the win column with a 21-13 victory against Bellarmine at the Joe Walton Stadium.
- RMU's 21 goals against Bellarmine were the most they've scored in a game this season.
- Against the Knights, 16 different players registered a point. Seven players paced for three or more points including big games out of Taggart Clark (6 points), David Burr (5 points) and four-point efforts from Colton Lidstone and Will Johansen.
- Clark's four assists were a career-high.
- Three different players recorded a hat trick: David Burr, Will Johansen and Eric Swagerty.
- In the face-off circle, junior Steven DelleMonache won 22 draws and scooped up 12 ground balls, both being career-highs.
- Hosting the Knights, Owen Down sniped in his first goal of the season, followed by Ryan Stiefel recording his first career goal and Bobby Reaume registering his first assist and point as a Colonial.
- Head coach Craig McDonald now owns a 15-12 overall record at RMU, and is 6-5 in ASUN play.

The All-Time Series (Queens) – Come Saturday, this will be the first ever meeting between the Colonials and Royals. Queens previously played in the South Atlantic Conference. Last year they finished fourth in that conference with a 12-5 overall record and finished 7-3 in the SAC. In years past, Queens was a member of the Conference Carolinas. RMU has not yet played against a current member of the SAC or CC. The Royals officially joined the ASUN conference for the 2023 season.

Scouting the Royals – Up until now, Queens is 2-9 overall and 1-5 in the ASUN, currently sitting in last place in the conference. Their one conference win was against Detroit Mercy, winning 9-5. Overall, as a team, the Royals are averaging 8.73 goals per game and allowing 15.82 goals per game. On the man-advantage, they've succeeded 13-out-of-40 times, which is good for 32.5%.

Leading the team in points is attacker Jack Royer. He's posted 17 goals and 12 assists so far this season. Four total players have reached double-digits in goals. The team's face-off specialist is Jacob Martin. In 176 draws, Martin has won 78 (.443). Defensively, senior long-stick midfielder Bennett Smith owns the most ground balls on the team with 37. Junior defender Will McNichols holds the most caused turnovers on their roster with 16. In goal, Queens has played four different goalies, but have mainly started and played junior Wesley Wheat. He owns a 1-4 record, totaling 69 saves.

CONSISTENT CLARK
Throughout Colonial history there have been quite a few core players.
Taggart Clark is one of them. Dating back to the beginning of the 2022 season when Clark helped lead his team to an ASUN Championship, he's currently riding a 27-game point streak and 13-game goal streak. During that 27-game stretch, the Ontario native has put together 71 goals and 30 assists. Totaling 101 points, Clark is averaging 3.74 points per game in his senior and fifth-year season. This includes 44 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers.

David Burr scored a highlight reel, behind-the-back goal on Wednesday, against Bellarmine. The following morning, Burr was featured on SportsCenter's Top 10, getting ranked eighth for his no-look goal. You can check out ESPN's commentary on the goal
