BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman forward
Alaina Giampietro was tabbed the CHA conference Rookie of the Week, announced today by the league office.
This is her third career weekly award and fifth total honor in the 2023-24 season. Back in October, she was named the CHA Rookie of the Month and at the national level, named the HCA Rookie of the Month.
From Strongsville, Ohio, she led all skaters in the conference this past weekend in goals, scoring three against Lindenwood, including one goal on the power-play.
With two goals in the second game of the series, she's now recorded four multipoint efforts in her career. Currently, she leads all Colonials in goals and points (10-7—17).
Across the CHA, she ranks fourth in goals and is tied eighth in points.
Up next, RMU will host Mercyhurst this upcoming weekend for another two-game series on January 19-20.
