Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris women's lacrosse team announced its 2024 schedule Thursday, which includes seven home games at Joe Walton Stadium as well as 11 non-conference contests.
The Colonials open its 2024 campaign and fourth season in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) on Friday, Feb. 4, at Ohio State as this will be the third straight year that RMU will begin the season in Columbus. The Colonials will return to Moon Township for their home opener against Cincinnati on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 12:00 p.m.
RMU continues its non-conference schedule with a matchup against Boston College on Thursday, Feb. 22, before they hit the road for five straight games. The Colonials road trip starts with a visit to Lewisburg, Pa as they'll face off against Bucknell on Feb. 24 before heading to Saint Francis on Wednesday, February 28. RMU wraps up their road trip down south with visits to George Washington (March 2), Queens (March 8) and closing the slate with Mount St. Mary's on Tuesday, March 12. The Colonials will then host Canisius at the Joe on Saturday, March 16 for a 1:00 p.m. start time.

RMU will begin conference play in the MAC on Sunday, March 17 against Akron at Joe Walton Stadium. The Colonials will have their first road conference matchup against Kent State on March 23 before coming back home to host Detroit Mercy on Saturday, March 30. RMU will then travel to play Central Michigan on Sunday April 7 in a crucial conference matchup. The Colonials will then head down the highway and play at Pitt on Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. in non-conference action.
Youngstown State will make the trip to Moon Township on Saturday, April 13 for a 3:00 p.m. conference matchup. RMU will then host Duquesne for their final home contest of the 2024 regular season in non-conference play. The Colonials will close out their season at Eastern Michigan on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. The MAC Championships are slated for Thursday, May 2, and Saturday, May 4, at the site of the regular-season champion.
RMU posted a 10-9 overall record, including a 7-1 mark in conference action in its third season in the MAC during the 2023 campaign. The Colonials advanced to the MAC Championship but fell short to Central Michigan 15-12. RMU will be guided in a new direction this season as Courtney Grove will begin her first season as the Women's Lacrosse head coach in the spring along with her associate head coach Emma Simmers. Grove was previously the head coach at Seton Hill the last decade as she helped advance the Griffins to three NCAA Division II tournaments in her tenure.
