The Colonials (6-14) dropped a conference home contest as they lost to Detroit Mercy 59-36 on Wednesday night. Â

YOUNGSTOWN STATE LATELY
The Penguins (12-8) are coming off a home loss to Northern Kentucky, 62-56 on Wednesday night. Youngstown State is in eighth place in the Horizon League standings as they've gone 3-7 in conference action so far this season. Fifth year forward Emily Saunders leads the Horizon League in blocked shots as she averages 2.3 blocks per game. The Penguins are 1-4 in their last five games as they've lost against Milwaukee, Green Bay, Cleveland State, and Northern Kentucky with their lone win against Purdue Fort Wayne most recently.
YOUNGSTOWN STATE HISTORY
The Colonials own a 9-23 record against the Penguins with their first matchup dating back to the 1982 season. RMU won the last matchup which came in December as the Colonials were victorious in a thriller, 65-63.
Naomi Barnwell recorded a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Colonials won their first game against the Penguins since 2021.
SINGLE GAME HIGH'S VS PURDUE FORT WAYNE (1/20) - RMU came back home to the UPMC Events Center and fell to Purdue Fort Wayne 64-36 on Saturday afternoon.
Simone Morris led the Colonials with 14 points while adding five rebounds.
Danielle Vuletich had seven boards and four points in the loss on Saturday.
SINGLE GAME HIGH'S VS DETROIT MERCY (1/24) – The Colonials were unable to get consistent offense as they fell at home against Detroit Mercy, 59-36.
Danielle Vuletich notched a double-double as she recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the team.
Rebecca Dwomoh added nine points, three blocks, and two steals on Wednesday night.
