MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU Colonials women's basketball team will start a Horizon League road trip starting with a battle at Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials (6-7) last played on Sunday afternoon when they lost a heartbreaker in overtime to Wright State, 80-77. Simone Morris leads RMU with 12.3 points per game. Danielle Vuletich leads the Colonials in rebounds as she averages 7.8 boards per game.
 
PURDUE FORT WAYNE LATELY
The Mastodons (9-5) are coming off a loss in Horizon League action to Green Bay on Monday night, 46-72. PFW is 3-1 in the Horizon League with wins against Oakland, Wright State, and Milwaukee. Junior guard Ryin Ott leads the Horizon League in three-point field goal percentage as she'll enter Thursday's matchup with a .571 percentage beyond the arc. Last season, Purdue Fort Wayne finished with an 14-19 record and a loss in the Horizon League semifinals to top-seeded Green Bay, 69-65.

COMMON OPPONENTS     
Both teams have started conference play and have faced similar opponents such as Wright State. RMU fell to Wright State on Sunday but Purdue Fort Wayne defeated the Raiders 71-60 on December 3.
 
PURDUE FORT WAYNE HISTORY
The Colonials own a 5-2 record against the Mastodons since the series began during the 2020 season. Most recently, RMU won on February 4, 2023 at Purdue Fort Wayne by the score of 71-63. Rebecca Dwomoh and Simone Morris combined for 27 points as the Colonials maintained the lead for the entire contest.

Single Game High's vs IUPUI (12/29) - The Colonials won their second Horizon League contest when they upended IUPUI, 60-49. Simone Morris notched a season-high 18 points in the win along with three rebounds and a steal. Micah O'Dell had her best game as a Colonial to date as she had 12 points off the bench and was 3-4 from the charity stripe.

Single Game High's vs Wright State (12/31) - The Colonials fell at home to the Wright State Raiders 80-77 in overtime on Sunday afternoon. Simone Morris once again led the team with 17 points while chipping in 3 boards for the Colonials. Danielle Vuletich notched another double-double for RMU as she had 11 points to go along with 13 rebounds.

DID YOU KNOW?
Through 13 games RMU leads all Horizon League teams in blocked shots as the Colonials average 4.15 blocks per contest. Louella Allana leads the conference in minutes played with 144 total and averages 35.89 minutes in four conference games played.

International Journey - The RMU Women's Basketball team features eight international players: Tuana Coskun (Istanbul, Turkiye) Louella Allana (Laval, Quebec), Eden Monka (Montreal, Quebec), Camila Bozan (Santiago, Chile), Rebecca Dwomoh (London, England), Paris Kirk (Kelowna, B.C.), Naomi Barnwell (Chanteloup-Les-Vignes, France) and Alejandra Mastral (Zaragoza, Spain).

The Colonials will have a couple days to recover as they'll come back home and host Oakland at the UPMC Events Center on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+.
