MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's basketball team will return home for a Sunday afternoon battle against Oakland at the UPMC Events Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials (6-8) most recently played on Thursday night when they lost to Purdue Fort Wayne, 68-56. Simone Morris leads RMU with 11.6 points per game. Danielle Vuletich leads the Colonials in rebounds as she averages 7.9 boards per game.
 
OAKLAND LATELY
The Golden Grizzlies (5-7) are coming off a loss on Wednesday night against conference foe Youngstown State, 70-63. Oakland is 1-3 in Horizon League play with their lone win coming against Northern Kentucky while taking losses to Detroit Mercy, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Youngstown State. Fifth year guard Markyia McCormick leads the Horizon League in three-point field goals made as she averages 3.67 triples per contest. Last season, Oakland finished with an 13-17 record and a loss in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament to Wright State, 79-69.

COMMON OPPONENTS     
Both teams have played similar opponents in the 2024 season to date as RMU and Oakland lost to Youngstown State and Purdue Fort Wayne early in conference play. Meanwhile, in non-conference both teams have played Akron in which Oakland defeated the Zips in double-overtime while the Colonials lost at home in overtime to Akron.

OAKLAND HISTORY
The Colonials have a 2-4 record against the Golden Grizzlies since the series began during the 2020 season. RMU won the last meeting on February 11, 2023 in which the Colonials dominated Oakland 74-43. Rebecca Dwomoh led all scorers with 19 points and eight rebounds while Louella Allana and Alex Mastral added 11 points in the big win.

Single Game High's vs Wright State (12/31) - The Colonials fell at home to the Wright State Raiders 80-77 in overtime on Sunday afternoon. Simone Morris once again led the team with 17 points while chipping in 3 boards for the Colonials. Danielle Vuletich notched another double-double for RMU as she had 11 points to go along with 13 rebounds.

Single Game High's vs Purdue Fort Wayne (1/4) – RMU lost their sixth road contest of the season to Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday night, 68-56. Madison O'Dell had a team-high 11 points and was 9-10 from the free-throw line in the loss. Vuletich and Allana both had eight points and a combined 11 rebounds against the Mastodons.

DID YOU KNOW?
Through 14 games RMU leads all Horizon League teams in blocked shots as the Colonials average 4.15 blocks per contest. Louella Allana leads the conference in minutes played with 169 total and averages 35.89 minutes in four conference games played.
