MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball will return to Horizon League action when they battle Oakland on Wednesday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and can be seen streaming live on ESPN+.
 
RMU LATELY
The Colonials are fresh off of two wins in a row with their latest victory coming on Saturday afternoon against Mercyhurst, 69-49. Jada Lee led RMU with 13 points scored while Raissa Nsabua finished the game with 12 points and going 6-6 from the free-throw line. Senior guard Simone Morris made her season debut for the Colonials and tallied eight points while scoring on her first two attempts from the floor. The Colonials currently rank second in the Horizon League in total defense as RMU has only allowed 60.7 points in ten games played.

RMU AND OAKLAND HISTORY
The Colonials and Golden Grizzlies have only met up eight previous times with Oakland holding a 6-2 advantage over RMU. Since the series began in 2021 the Colonials have a 2-1 record at home while holding an 0-5 mark on the road.

RMU AND OAKLAND LAST TIME OUT
The Colonials fell short in the last game against Oakland earlier this year, 67-65. Simone Morris led all scorers with 19 points and converting on a season-high eight field goals. Danielle Vuletich finished the game with a double-double, tallying 13 point and 10 rebounds. This meeting went the distance with Oakland hitting a buzzer-beating shot to win the game in overtime.

UP NEXT
The Colonials will come back home this Saturday afternoon and face off against St. Bonaventure in non-conference play. This will be the final non-conference matchup for RMU this season. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
