MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's soccer team released its schedule for the 2024 season, head coach
Jonathan Potter announced Wednesday.
The Colonials are slated to play a 17-game campaign, which includes nine Horizon League contests.
"We're excited to announce our 2024 season schedule," said Potter. "We look forward to hosting ten home games in front of our alumni, campus community and fans on our campus. Our team is ready for the challenges ahead."
After a pair of exhibition matches at Bowling Green (August 9) and at Le Moyne (August 17), RMU opens its regular season at the North Athletic Complex (NAC) against Bucknell on August 22.
The Colonials are also set to host Saint Francis (September 4), Mercyhurst (September 8), Duquesne (September 17) and Canisius (October 1) in non-conference action.
RMU starts up the road portion of the non-conference schedule at Mount St. Mary's (August 25), followed up by a contest at VMI (August 29). The Colonials finish out non-conference play at St. Bonaventure (September 24).
Horizon League play begins at home against Northern Kentucky (September 14). RMU's first away conference match is at IU Indy on September 21.
Continuing through the campaign, the Colonials host Milwaukee (September 28), Wright State (October 12) and Green Bay (October 20).
On the road, RMU will play at Purdue Fort Wayne (October 5), Oakland (October 26) and play their season finale on November 5 at Cleveland State.
RMU's final home game will be against Detroit Mercy (November 1) for Senior Day.
For the postseason, the top six teams qualify for the Horizon League Championship, with the top two finishers earning byes into the semifinal round.
