MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Women's Basketball Head Coach Chandler McCabe has announced the 2024-25 non-conference schedule. The Colonials will play nine games including matchups against crosstown foes Pitt and Duquesne along with five games at the UPMC Events Center.
 
The Colonials open their 48th season of NCAA Division I women's basketball at home on November 6 against Point Park, marking the first meeting since the 2016-17 season. Saint Francis, Bucknell, Mercyhurst and St. Bonaventure close out the non-conference home schedule.
 
RMU and Pitt square off for the first time since 2006 on November 23 followed up by the Colonials facing Duquesne for the first time in a decade two days later. RMU will also face College of Charleston and Akron on the road.
 
"We're extremely excited about this year's non-conference slate. We were very purposeful in scheduling six teams within a two-hour radius including the two other Pittsburgh Division 1 programs," said McCabe. "We wanted to really show how important staying local is to us in recruiting as well as retaining and building a loyal fan base which will be integral for the future of this program. This schedule was designed to get us ready for how competitive the Horizon League will be this year as we're looking forward to competing in every single game."
 
The Horizon League schedule will be announced at a later date.
